Gigabyte A16 Pro: earlier $1,449 offer no longer verified
Update: do not expect the earlier $1,449 offer
On October 19, 2026, Walmart’s displayed listing showed $1,719, sold and shipped by marketplace seller Velztorm PC, for the location shown. We could not confirm the earlier $1,449 Walmart.com offer. Prices and sellers can vary by location and change again.
Our earlier value verdict does not carry over to this higher price. Compare alternatives before buying. The original assessment below is retained with its October 17 price context.

An RTX 5070 Ti and 32GB of memory make this an interesting shortlist option. They do not tell the whole story.
The BudgetProtector verdict
At the earlier price around $1,450, it was worth considering for gaming capability and 32GB of memory. We do not extend that recommendation to the latest $1,719 listing. Buyers who prioritise quiet operation, upgradeable RAM or maximum sustained GPU performance should compare other designs before committing.

What the earlier offer included
On October 17, Walmart listed model DXHG4USCC4SH at $1,449, sold and shipped by Walmart.com. The advertised configuration is Core 7 240H, RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, 32GB memory, 1TB SSD and a 16-inch 2560 × 1600 IPS display at 165Hz. Confirm the seller, total and delivery availability for your address before paying.
That earlier displayed offer did not require a coupon. Our original verdict concerns the machine at $1,449; it does not depend on treating the retailer’s crossed-out price as typical market value.
Why the configuration deserves attention
Memory and storage belong in the purchase decision alongside the graphics chip. A machine that meets your needs out of the box can be more useful than a cheaper configuration that immediately needs additional spending.
For context, Walmart’s comparison listings showed an ASUS TUF A16 with RTX 5060, 16GB RAM and 1TB storage at $1,349.99. At the October 17 prices, the Gigabyte cost $99.01 more for a higher-tier GPU and twice the memory. That is a specification comparison, not evidence of a universal performance advantage.

The GPU badge is only part of the story
Notebookcheck tested an A16 Pro with the Core 7 240H and RTX 5070 Ti. It praised the bright display and slim chassis, but reported weaker performance than stronger machines in this GPU class, loud operation under load and SSD throttling.
Its test configuration had a 115W GPU limit. During sustained Cyberpunk testing, temperatures rose and clocks declined after roughly 25 minutes. These observations apply to that review unit and software configuration; they show why a short benchmark or GPU name alone is insufficient.
Our interpretation: the earlier $1,449 price earned this laptop a place on a shortlist, but buyers expecting top-end RTX 5070 Ti performance should investigate better-cooled alternatives. A lower wattage figure is not itself a performance percentage.
Two details to get right before ordering
The CPU is Intel Core 7 240H, not Core Ultra 7. Check the complete model name when comparing listings.
Do not assume “16GB × 2” means two removable memory sticks. TechRadar’s A16 Pro hands-on review describes soldered LPDDR5x memory. That review tested the RTX 5080 version, so its gaming scores should not be applied to this RTX 5070 Ti offer. If future memory expansion matters, obtain confirmation for the exact US SKU before buying.
Buy for your workload
| Your priority | Our advice |
|---|---|
| Gaming and demanding multitasking near $1,450 | At the earlier price only: compare performance in your actual games and applications. That offer is no longer verified. |
| Quiet operation during long sessions | The independent noise and cooling findings warrant caution. |
| Future RAM expansion | Confirm memory construction; do not budget around a promised upgrade. |
| Schoolwork, browsing and office documents | This level of spending is usually unnecessary for those tasks alone. |
Make the return period count
Check the applicable return deadline before ordering. Once it arrives, test your own games and software, display quality, fan noise and performance over a full session. Keep the packaging until you decide whether the machine suits you.
